Features of the Hurricane Tested 6.8 Accordion Shutter System

The 6.8 system has one of the tightest blade stacks in the industry, the blades in the open position only take up 1 inch, (per foot of shutter coverage), including center mates.

The 6.8 system features an offset "screw boss" that allows for lubrication of the assembly screw and isolates the hinge from the "corrosion effect" from electrolosis (dissimilar metal contact).

Assembly screws are JS-500 plated over 410HT w/zinc for better life span & increased durability.

Shutter Services uses significantly heavier track systems than the competition.

The 6.8 center mates are only 1/2 inch on each side for thinner stacking and a symetrical look. The competition's is 2.5" on the left and 4.5" on the right.

Fast and simple locking procedure - close centers & push in the key lock. That's 1 step locking vs. a 6 step locking procedure.

No lock bars required.
